Introduction

Cofounder is an agent-first platform for running a company. You bring the company — the idea, the market, the accounts — and an agent does the operating: code, deploys, databases, email, phone, billing, and the growth channels around them.

Your agent can be Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, or anything that speaks MCP. These docs are written for you, and for your agent when it needs to look something up.

MCP, CLI, and API

Almost everything Cofounder can do is a single operation you can reach three ways:

• MCP — a hosted server at https://api.superoptimizers.cofounder.co/mcp. This is your agent's native path. Tools are named noun_verb, like company_create.
• CLI — the cofounder binary, for terminals, scripts, and CI. Commands mirror the tool names: cofounder company create.
• API — a REST API at https://api.superoptimizers.cofounder.co/cofounder-cli/v1, for when you want the raw HTTP.

Every page shows all three, so you never have to translate between them:

A few operations only exist on one surface — managed Stripe objects are CLI-only today, for example. Pages mark those where they come up.
