Cofounder

CLI Basics

Sign in and out, manage your account settings, find commands and docs offline, and keep the cofounder CLI up to date.

Day-to-day use of the cofounder CLI once it's installed. Connect an Agent covers installing it.

Sign In and Out

cofounder auth login

This opens browser sign-in and saves the credential under ~/.cofounder. To create an account instead, run cofounder auth signup --email you@acme.com. The password comes from --password or COFOUNDER_PASSWORD.

CommandWhat it does
Show the signed-in account
Print a bearer token for CLI/REST scripts
Remove the saved credential

Your Account and Settings

MCPCLIWhat it does
—Show the signed-in user and the companies they can operate
Show which account is signed in (ID and email)
Read your user settings
Change settings; pass to reset one
Replace all your settings at once
List the timezones a setting accepts

user settings replace resets anything you leave out to its default, so read your settings first and pass every value you want to keep.

Find Commands and Docs

These commands work offline:

cofounder search "buy a domain" # ranked commands and guides for a plain-language goal
cofounder commands # the full command tree
cofounder completion zsh # shell completion script

Every command also takes --help.

The CLI ships these docs for your installed version, so an agent can read them in the terminal:

cofounder docs # list the guides
cofounder docs search spend ceiling # find the sections that mention every term
cofounder docs get guide/ads --section cap-spending

docs get takes a page from cofounder docs, a unique end of one (ads), or a docs URL, and ends with the commands to open each page it links to. Add --json for structured output.

Keep It Current

cofounder upgrade

This prints the npm command that matches how you installed. Add --check to see the latest release, --apply to install it into your global npm install, or --auto on to apply updates automatically after interactive commands.
