What Cofounder Does

Use Cofounder to build the company around your product—from strategy and launch to sales, marketing, operations, and finance.

Build The Product. Run Everything Else With Cofounder.

Cofounder is built for people who can build their core product elsewhere—especially founders of new B2B companies using their own codebase and preferred engineering tools.

Bring Cofounder the product, customer, and company context. Its departments and agents can then move the rest of the business forward: shape the strategy, build the website, find the right customers, launch campaigns, support users, and set up the operating systems a new company needs.

What To Use Cofounder For

Good starting points include:

  • company strategy, market research, positioning, and roadmap work
  • brand identity, product design support, decks, and visual systems
  • a landing page, marketing website, waitlist, or other launch surface
  • ICP definition, account research, outreach drafts, and pipeline operations
  • organic and paid marketing, content, email, SEO, and social campaigns
  • analytics, payments setup, reporting, and growth experiments
  • customer support workflows, internal tools, and recurring operations
  • finance, billing operations, legal operations, and company administration

You do not need all of this set up before you start. A product, an early prototype, or a clear idea is enough context for Cofounder to help build the company around it.

What Stays In Your Product Stack

Your core product stays in the codebase and engineering workflow you control.

Cofounder is not intended to build or rebuild your main SaaS product, mobile app, customer application, database, authentication system, or product hosting stack. Keep using your preferred coding agent, IDE, or engineering team for that work.

You can still connect product context and supported tools so Cofounder understands what you are building. When work crosses the boundary, ask Cofounder to prepare a brief, specification, analysis, or handoff prompt for the person or coding agent working in your product repository.

Why There Is Still An Engineering Department

Engineering work still exists outside the core product.

Use the Engineer for landing pages, marketing sites, internal workflows, code-generated campaign assets, analytics and growth instrumentation, and technical work that supports the business around your product.

If a request would change the core product, Cofounder should help define the outcome and prepare the handoff rather than take ownership of the product build.

A Good First Request

If you are not sure where to begin, ask:

I am building the product in my own codebase. Based on our current company context, what is the highest-leverage work Cofounder can do around it this week?
