Run a Company End to End
Start with a new Cofounder account and end with a set-up company and your agent working through its roadmap.
Start with only an account. End with a company that knows your business, has its tools set up, and has your agent working through its roadmap.
Steps
Sign In
If you use MCP, connect your agent
and skip the CLI. With the CLI, run
cofounder auth signup --email you@acme.com for a new account (pass the
password with --password or COFOUNDER_PASSWORD), or
cofounder auth login if you already have one.
Create the Company
Tell your agent: "Create a Cofounder company called Acme Analytics." It
uses company_create / cofounder company create "Acme Analytics". The
new company becomes your active one. See
Create a Company.
Add what you know
Save the pitch, market, and constraints to the Library with
cofounder library write or library_text_write, and web pages with
library_urls_ingest. See
Company Knowledge.
Drop other files in with cofounder library upload.
Set Up the Company
Ask your agent to run setup. It uses company_setup_start /
cofounder company setup, then checks progress with company_setup_get.
To watch live, run cofounder watch company. See
Managed Setup. Afterward,
cofounder company resources list shows each resource as live or as a
gap, with the reason.
Hand Work to Your Agent
Your agent reads the roadmap with roadmap_get, calls
roadmap_nodes_prompt_get on the first item to get a brief, and does
the work itself. Follow along with events_list or
cofounder events tail. See Watch It Run.
If Something Goes Wrong
- If setup gets stuck on one service, fix the problem, then find the failed
run's
run_idwithcofounder company setup statusand pass it tocofounder company setup retry <run-id>. Thecompany_setup_retryMCP tool takes the same id. - If a resource shows a gap,
resources_gettells you why. For billing failures, runcofounder company billing resources retry. - If your agent can't see a file, it was probably uploaded to a different
company's Library. Check which company is active with
cofounder company show.
